Joint disorders are the commonest problem in
middle age and in old age .It may be inflammatory (rheumatoid arthritis,
spondyloarthropathies etc) or relatively less inflammatory (osteoarthritis,
neurogenic arthropathy etc).
Arthritis is the degenerative disease condition generally associated with
aging. This ailment is caused due to the aggravation of Vata dosha.
Ayurveda can treat various spine and joint problems like spondylitis, slip
disc, sciatica, osteo-arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, scoliosis, sports
injury, knee pain, gouty arthritis etc and have proven effect in the neurological
and degenerative problems.
The treatment includes ayurveda therapies along with internal medication.
Neck Pain
The bones of the neck that support the head are called cervical vertebrae.
These seven vertebrae are identified as C1 through C7 .The neck pain can
be due to the degeneration, inflammation; muscle weakness etc. People
who give more strain to the neck like computer professionals are more
prone to the cervical problems.
BackPain
Middle age is a period feared alike by both the sexes as it brings along
a number of diseases. The most common among them being back pain. For
this disease, which arises out of sedentary type of work, obesity, lack
of proper exercises, improper postures, inherited weakness of bones and
muscles.
Rheumatism
Pain, stiffness and swelling in joints, bones, bursae, tendon or sheaths
are warnings of Rheumatism. Also named as Amavata disorder due to the
vitiation of Vata and Ama.

Facial Palsy
Exposure to chill, complicated causes like tumor, abscess, hemorrhage,
infection of the middle ear and leukemia are the causes for Facial
palsy. Hemiplegia
Paralysis of one side of the body is the disease called Hemiplegia.
Meningitis, brain tumor and compression of cerebral vessels can lead
to hemiplegia. Sciatica
Patient suffering from sciatica walks with pressure of the body on
one leg. The pain on either right or left leg is due to the pressure
on one of the sciatic nerve.
